Will dazzle you with information! Interviews and articles on particular games and the industry as a whole, jobs/resumes (a site for both job seekers and employers!), a contractors section (outsourcing), etc. And if there is something you haven’t found on their main site.. just check out one of their 7 sister sites or their monthly ‘GameDeveloper’ -magazine! One of thé sites for professionals and serious aspirants.

Specialized on Game Industry news, this site features many interviews, news feeds and game-related articles.
Unity 3D (http://unity3d.com)
On this site you will find all the information there is on the Unity 3 Game development tool and games already created with it, a program that will allow anyone to make their own game! Besides this the people at Unity have set up an initiative called ‘Union’ that will allow pretty much anyone to create a game (with the Unity 3 tool) and then have Unity mediate with some partners in order to finance the fabrication, distribution, etc of your game (you keep 80% of the profits).

Basically the same as Unity 3D, except that on this site you will find all the information you need about the Unreal Development Kit and games already made with this tool. This site also supports a forum where enthusiast can discuss everything they want about the tool and its uses.

Lots of information to be found here; Interviews and articles on games and the industry, jobs/resumes, release date section for new games and more!

Again a great information and ‘news’-site about the industry with thousands of relevant articles. Also features a section about Game Events, where you can see when and where the next big Event is and a ‘Jobs’-section for jobs/resumes.

Not the prettiest site, but definetely one of the most important for anyone who wants to know more about the industry and especially for those who want get in! It features a series of 73 articles in which most aspects of the industry are explained.

One of the bigger game-review sites features; guides, cheats, release dates, game relevant articles, forums, videos, etc. Not the most informative site about the industry, but definetely one of the places to go to learn all about new (and older) games! Also has some sister sites, including Gamestats.com.
Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/)
Specializes in pretty much exactly the same areas as IGN, but of course has its own articles, stories, reviews, etc.
